A Modal Approach to Evaluating the Axial Ratio of Circularly Polarized Antennas

摘要：
A new approach considering the weighting modal electric fields is proposed to calculate the axial ratio(AR) of circularly polarized(CP) antennas with the theory of characteristic mode (TCM). We verify this new modal approach by applying it to the four dipoles CP antenna and it turns out to be that the AR is just the same with its counterpart, which is calculated by FEKO directly.
