Cuckoo Search Based Real Time Implementation of Direct Torque Control of PMSM

摘要
Recently, permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) are advised to be utilized in many applications. The basic direct torque control (DTC) configuration that incorporates Hysteresis controllers (HCs) has been evolved by researchers through replacing the HCs by anther more efficient controllers and considered recently as the best competitor for numerous motors drives. This paper presents such a modern approach for the speed control applied on the standard configuration of space-vector pulse-width modulated (SVPWM) DTC of PMSMs that incorporates PID controllers for both outer speed control loop and inner torque (T) and flux (psi) control loops where all control parameters of these controllers are well-tuned using the Cuckoo Search Optimization (CSO) algorithm. The system is tested at no load and with a step change in load. MATLAB-SIMULINK is used to perform the simulation and dSPACE DS1202 is used for the real time implementation of the overall system. A comparison between practical and simulation indicates a correspondence between the both results with a very rapid dynamic response and the system achieves the steady state (SS.) in a very short time. Also it shows that both the SS. and dynamic performances are improved by applying of the CSO algorithm.
