摘要
The finite element (FE) modeling is carried out using ABAQUS to represent the real welding process for the manufacture of steel pipes and pipe joints. A FE modeling methodology tracks the evolution of residual stress and strain around the weld bead and in the pipe body. Temperature dependent thermo-physical and mechanical properties of material are used in the FE analysis. Residual stress prediction using the FE method has been demonstrated by modeling of pipe seam welding and pipe girth welding.
