摘要：

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is today a widely accepted strategy to reduce over-dependence on chemical insecticides and their potentially negative environmental and economic effects. Biotechnology has considerable potential to contribute to sustainable biological elements of IPM. However, biotechnology development to date has been directed at more conventional models for pest control technologies.
