The role played by science museums is of paramount importance in the critical development and the formation of environmental awareness of the public. Developing activities in places outside the four walls of a museum collection awakens an enchantment in its viewers. Therefore, the project 'Traveling museum: the Museum goes to school" was designed, thinking of schools and students who, due to the distance and lack of resources, are unable to vi sit and discover the collection, The project was developed in partnership with Fernandes Pinheiro-Pr Municipal Education Department, serving four municipal schools, between the months of August and December 2019. A didactic kit with copies of invertebrates, vertebrates and fossils was made available for use by teachers at each school Through a diagnostic evaluation and final appraisal of the project, there was an expansion of knowledge and the awakening of interest in the material, through its contact and handling. Thus indicating good results in similar educational activities that may be developed.
