摘要
Flow as a psychological construct represents a pillar of positive psychology. Since its inception, in the mid-1970s, work has been done on both its theoretical and operational basis. Within the operational field, different measurement instruments have tried to measure and identify this phenomenon in various activities. However, this psychological construct still presents unresolved questions in a Costa Rican university population practicing physical-sports activities without performance purposes. For this reason, the objective of this research was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Short Flow Scale (SFS) with a sample of university students who practice physical and sports activities. A confirmatory factor analysis of the instrument was carried out. The results provided a new two-dimensional structure for the SFS instrument. The model fit indices (RMSEA, CFI) were able to obtain the necessary values to conclude that the model proposed for the instrument is adequate for this sample. Likewise, the reliability is appropriate. With these results, the use of SFS for a university population of physical and sports activities is confirmed.
