Evolution path for the ASDEX Upgrade real-time control system

摘要
To replace ASDEX Upgrade's current transputer based discharge control system, a new function-oriented control system structure was designed. Aiming to move towards such a system an evolution path was identified, compatible with given personnel and financial constraints. Initial implementation will cover only the central core of the control system without periphery; integration of controllers will be based on shared memory technology. Integration with installed periphery will presently be done with a new designed interface board, these however be replaced by future diagnostic data acquisition systems with immediate access to the shared memory.
