摘要
A method, measuring arrangement and chosen results of experimental analysis of a low-voltage diffuse vacuum arc with current in the range from 100 A to 600 A, under influence of an oscillatory transverse magnetic field with magnetic flux density in the range from 15 mT to 200 mT were presented in the paper. Increases of the arc voltage as function of magnetic flux density value, its increasing slope and contact distance as well as the arc plasma movement caused by the magnetic field were observed. The possible employment of observed phenomena for the forced current commutation was discussed.
