摘要
Leadership and employees involvement are among the quality management principles; both of them focuses the managerial action towards the human resources, which is the essential resource for any organization's success. The 2000 version of the ISO 9001 standard contains requirements for the quality management systems based on these principles but they are expressed in a synthetic formula. The present characteristics of the social - economical - political environment also give birth to certain factors which leadership has to be adjusted to in any organization and especially in the economic ones. The paper presents a generic model of the leadership function's process which is compulsory in order to fulfill the ISO 9001:2000 requirements and also to achieve the desired personnel involvement in the organizations where the cultural diversity is present. The model is developed using modern management concepts and methods like leadership flexibility, maturity of the followers and internal motivation. The implementation of such a model for the quality management's leading function is an important step towards the achievement of excellence.
