摘要：

The paper proposes a hand gesture recognition system based on support vector machine classification. The analysis was performed on two publicly available databases and one acquired in our laboratory. Methods based on computer vision provide improved results for the analysis of the databases in the literature. The analysis of the database acquired in our laboratory also provides very good classification precision of 95.7% when using HOG descriptors. This database has a higher degree of complexity due to the image size, the representation in the RGB color space, the presence of artifacts and the number of classes analyzed.
