摘要
The techniques of multiple linear regression and neural network analysis were used to search for relationships between wood, pulp and paper properties from a data set containing information on 29 Eucalyptus nitens trees. The relationships predicted by the two techniques differed and the neural network method gave a value of R-2 which was greater than that obtained using multiple linear regression by between 0.15 and 0.2. This work is a preliminary study and the results will be useful for future work involving SilviScan-2.
