摘要
Effective health education strategies have been used to educate mothers in the NICU to promote successful breastfeeding experiences. The purposes of this study are to identify the demographic data and evaluate the efficacy of breastfeeding education on the mothers' knowledge in the NICU. The methodology used is a quasi-experimental study by comparing individual versus group counseling efforts in breastfeeding education strategies sessions. The results showed it is significant in the level of knowledge post breastfeeding education among participants between control with the score excellent 30 (100%) and 25 (100%) for intervention group. This is slightly higher difference mean in both group are 1.86 as compared to post education is 0.84. Early effective breastfeeding guidance and intervention support by nurses are required to successfully aid mothers to undergo breastfeeding experiences and improve their empowerment and confidence for successful breastfeeding.
