摘要
Fabrication of nanostructured material films and investigation of their properties have drawn consider-able attention to the researcher because of their pronounced physicochemical properties. Herein we describe a simple and cost-efficient dip-coating method for preparing PbS/PEO nanocomposite (NC) films as a function of the Pb+2-TU complex weight fraction. The X-ray diffraction of films confirms the forma-tion of PbS nanoparticles in the polymer matrix. Particles are in agglomerated nearly spherical shape hav-ing an average diameter of about 20 to 25 nm as revealed by TEM. The band gaps of the NC are 1.6, 1.15, 0.8, and 0.6 eV for 36, 52, 70, and 82 WF of the Pb+2-TU complex, respectively. The FTIR spectrum shows the weak van der-walls interaction of PbS nanoparticles with the PEO matrix. The thermal stability of all NC films was improved compared to the pristine polymer.Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
