Synthesis and biological activities of some substituted 4-{4-(1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl) phenoxymethyl} coumarins

摘要
4-Bromomethylcoumarins (1) on treatment with 4-hydroxy acetophenone (11) in presence of acetone, K2CO3 yielded 4-[4-acetylphenoxymethyl] coumarins (111). The structure of III has been confirmed by its 2D-COSY spectrum. Compounds III on treatment with aromatic aldehydes in presence of 40% NaOH did not give 4-(4-cinnamoylphenoxymethyl) coumarins (IV). Compound (IV) have been prepared by another route i.e., by reacting (1) with 1-(4-hydroxy) arylprop-2-en-1-ones (V). Compounds (IV) when refluxed with phenyl hydrazine hydrochloride in DMF gave the title compounds (VI). These compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial, analgesic and antiinflammatory activities.
