摘要
Diesel-electric drive systems for city buses do not achieve at present fuel saving in driving cycles. The additional combination of the diesel-electric drive system with double-layer capacitors as high power storage enables however to reduce clearly the fuel consumption and the emissions in particular within the stop area. The central starting points are for this the use of brake energy, operation of the diesel engine in the optimal efficiency-area as well as the uncoupling of the diesel engine of the current drive performance requirement. By an energy management the energy flows, in particular the allocation of the energy flows between alternator, high power storage and brake resistor can be selected energetically favorably. In the context of a project, promoted by the BStWVT, the first European city bus with diesel-electric drive system and double-layer capacitors as high power storage has been built up by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in co-operation with the companies Siemens Verkehrstechnik and EPCOS.
