摘要：
The article considers the essential features of the notion "competitiveness" and the peculiarities of its application in relation to economic systems. By means of causal method and "field-object" approach the contents of competitive relations is analyzed; and the preconditions for competition are grounded as well as the key features of the systems that can compete. Definitions of the notion "competition" and "competitiveness" are offered.
