摘要
Vireo olivaceus chivi and V. o. diversus (Vireonidae): distribution and migration. The distribution and migration of both races of Red-eyed Vireo are reviewed. V. olivaceus chivi breeds between 15 degrees in Mato Grosso (Cuiaba) and 36 degrees in Buenos Aires Atlantic coast, and winters from 20 degrees of south latitude until 4 degrees of north latitude in Venezuela. A V. o. chivi band recovered shown that it migrates through the foothills with Yungas when return in spring from Bolivia and Peru. Recoveries also prove their breeding site fidelity. Red-eyed Vireo spend five months in the breeding grounds where they reproduce and molt. V. o. diversus range between 15 degrees and 36 degrees along the Atlantic forest but winter range is uncertain, whith only few records.
