摘要：
This paper is dealing with the issues of commercial insurance industry in Slovakia. Insurance industry is a sector of financial services including entities taking the assured risk, i.e. entities carrying out insurance and reinsurance activities as well as entities dealing with insurance and reinsurance mediation. The key components of insurance industry are commercial insurance companies granted the license to run a business in the Slovak Republic, insurance companies from other member states of the European Economic Space. The paper includes information on all entities run within the insurance industry in the Slovak Republic. This referred to the specific features of the insurance industry and its structure.
