Stagnation Point Flow Past a Quadratically Stretching/Shrinking Sheet in Nanofluid: Stability Analysis

摘要
This paper aims to investigate the boundary layer flow of nanofluid near the stagnation flow over a quadratically stretching/shrinking sheet. Three kinds of nanoparticles, namely Alumina (Al2O3),Copper (Cu) as well as Titania (TiO2) are dispersed in water-based fluid are considered. Using the bvp4c solver in Matlab software, the ordinary differential equations are solved numerically for various governing parameter values such as stretching/shrinking parameter and volume fraction parameter of nanoparticles. The impact of various values of parameters involved in profiles of velocity and temperature, together with local Nusselt number and local skin frictionare investigated. The results show that in a certain shrinking sheet limit there is a non-unique solution. Therefore, a stability analysis was executed to assess which solutions are stable and physically practicable.
