摘要
China has been regarded as the 21 century manufacturing center of the world, but it is the absence of empirical research on the operations strategies and manufacturing performance of Chinese manufacturers. Questionnaires are designed to make a survey about the relationship of competitive priorities and manufacturing performance in China based on the Chinese actualities. The results show that delivery priority and flexibility priority have significantly positive impacts on the overall performance of firms. Moreover, cost priority, delivery priority and flexibility priority have significant impacts respectively on cost performance, delivery performance and flexibility performance, but it is not significant to quality priority. The study will have some instructing significance for firm leaders to choose appropriate operations strategies.
