Management with the patients with dysplasia, CA! in situ and microinvasive carcinoma of the cervix

Incidence of cervical cancer is increasing in Estonia. The aim of this research was to study the incidence of dysplasia, intraepithelial and microinvasive cervical cancer on the basis of the data of our hospital. Patients were studied during the period 1984-1998. It was found that incidence of intraepithelial and microinvasive carcinomas has increased since the late 1980s. Especially significant has been increase in incidence in women aged under 50. An effective method of treatment of intraepithelial and microinvasive cancer in young women is therapeutic conisation with cold knife and cone biopsy.
