Synthesis and spectral studies of organotin(IV) complexes with bifunctional tetradentate Schiff bases

摘要
Coordination compounds formed by the interaction of metal ion with several potentially tetradentate ligands [N,N'-bis(salicylaldehyde)2,6-diaminopy N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde)- 2,6-diaminiopyridine, N,N'-bis(benzoin)2,6-diaminopyridine] have been prepared. Stoichiometries of the complexes have been established by metal, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen analysis and molecular weights, conductivity measurements, UV, IR and nuclear magnatic resonance (H-1, C-13 and Sn-119 NMR) spectral Studies. The tentative coordination numbers and stereochemical environments around organotin(IV) are discussed in each case.
