摘要
The aim of this paper is the application of the confocal microwave imaging algorithm to breast cancer detection and the investigation of the influence of dispersion of breast tissues on high resolution microwave imaging. Due to ultrawide band (UWB) microwave imaging technique and the frequency dispersive characteristics of the fatty breast tissue, skin and tumour the correct location and size of tumour are needed for an early-stage tumour detection. In this study the exact location of tumour was determined by comparing the results from the dispersive and dispersive-free breast models. All computer simulations have been done using finite-difference time-domain method.
