摘要
Drawing on Hetherington's idea about political trust and Ajzen's theory of planned behavior, this study investigates Taiwanese people's intention to participate in the national pension program. Questionnaire surveys are collected from 254 part-time workers as they are qualified to join the program. The main results confirm that political trust, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have significant effects on the respondents' intention to participate in the national pension program. Very few studies have looked at the role of political trust and theory of planned behavior constructs in the national pension program. This study may contribute to the relevant literature by discussing these issues, while future empirical research needs to be conducted to improve the generalizability of the results.
