Influence of Glass Doping on Sintering Characteristic and Dielectric Properties of BaO-Sm2O3-TiO2 System Microwave Dielectric Ceramics

摘要
BaO-Sm2O3-TiO2 microwave dielectric ceramics were prepared by traditional solid sate reaction technique. The effects of sintering aid Li2CO3-B2O3-SiO2-CaO-Al2O3(LBSCA) and BaO-B2O3-SiO2(BBS) on sintering characteristic, dielectric properties, phases and microstructure of BaO-Sm2O3-TiO2 microwave dielectric ceramic ware studied. The sintering temperature was decreased to 900 degrees C by doping 10% LBSCA and 2 similar to 5% BBS. The results indicate that the major phase of additives-doped ceramics is BaSm2Ti4O12 phase by XRD analysis and the additives exist in between the crystal in the form of glass phases. The ceramic of BaSm2Ti4O12+10% LBSCA + 3%BZS sintered at 900 degrees C for 2 h has the following microwave characteristics: epsilon(r) = 55.63, Q(f) = 4266 GHz, tau(f) = -13.5x10(-6) degrees C-1. The ceramic is promised sintered with Ag electrode and be used to prepare various multilayer microwave components and devices.
