Online and offline identification of circulation electrical heaters using neural networks

摘要
This study presents two neural based identification techniques. The identified system is a circulation heater in which the heat is generated in the tube wall. In the first part of the study, the governing equation is introduced. Then the offline identification technique shows that it is possible to consider the heaters as second order systems. Then it is shown that an online identification technique is more accurate and more sensitive than the offline technique. Finally, it is shown that the on line identification technique makes it possible to identify systems which are prone to drift.
