摘要
The paper presents a new method for assessing the insulation condition of capacitive equipment using power loss density. Firstly, the deficiency of dissipation factor in insulation assessment of capacitive equipment is analyzed. Next, the theory of power loss density which normalizes the operation voltage, capacitance and volume of the equipment is introduced. Then the paper lists some preventive test data of 110kV and 220kV capacitor voltage transformers, and calculated their power loss density respectively. Finally, the evaluation technique proposed in this paper is used to assess the insulation condition of capacitor voltage transformers in this way, and its validity is preliminary and reasonably verified, which will be supportive for condition assessment and diagnosis of capacitive equipment.
