摘要
Globalization and State Power: International Circulation of Elites and Hierarchies in the Brazilian Legal Field Based on the issue of globalization of state expertise, the article intends to analyze the conditions in the internationalization of the Brazilian legal field, with a focus on the relationship between the international capital mobilized by jurists and the field's hierarchical structuring. The basis for the analysis consists mainly of the comparison between the university, professional, and political backgrounds of the three representative segments of the legal elite: faculty members in the graduate studies programs in law, partners in the leading law firms, and justices of the Superior Court of Justice and the Supreme Court. The various links to the international sphere can be related to the different positions in the Brazilian legal field and their relationship to the political and economic sphere.
