Employee's Deviance Behavior under Workplace Stress and Its Measurement

Deviance behavior of employees is common problems in management. As one of the emerging research topics, studies on deviance behavior are still scarce. Base of reviewing scales of foreign scholars, interviews and open questionnaire, we collect data of employees' deviance behavior under workplace stress in more than 20 firms come from Changsha, Zhuzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in mainland China, then construct scale in the Chinese culture background. Reliability and validity analysis of the scale of employee's deviance behavior under work pressure are analyzed through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis by SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 18. The results show that the scale has good reliability and validity, the employee's deviance behavior under work pressure is multidimensional structure which include eight dimension of escape working, slackness, exaggerating, indifference, insult, conflict, confrontation, sabotage, and goodness-of-fit of eight-factor model is much better than other models. Research results can be used in related research and practice fields.
