摘要
The growing debate over the significance (and even primary) of human and environmental (in)security is typical merely for global powers and in more developed countries. The most vulnerable countries are mostly objects and not equal participants in the security debate. This paper discusses theoretical and political tendencies through the prism of the (de)securitization process. It aims to enrich the discussion with a "bottom-up" perspective. Its focus is on the discrepancies between the dominant debate in the area of "high politics" (or even bio-politics) and how these insecurities are viewed from the perspective of the (European) periphery, specifically Macedonia and the post-conflict Balkans.
