Rotor Side Control for Improving the Transient Response of Doubly Fed Induction Generator in Wind Power System

摘要
Wind energy generation equipment is most often installed in remote, rural areas characterized by week, unbalanced power transmission grids. So wind farm can periodically experience voltage unbalance phenomena. In this paper a control strategy is presented for Doubly Fed Induction Generator to stay connected to the grid during voltage failure. A complete dynamic model of DFIG including rotor side converter and stator side converter is presented here. This method is more effective than the conventional rotor resistance variation. Here the principle used is during unbalanced condition rotor voltage injection is carried out using a control circuit, so as to improve the rotor flux as well as stator flux distribution.
