摘要
The paper is devoted to the concept of Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS), gaining growing interest from both theoreticians and practitioners of management. This concept by the researchers W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne was formulated a slightly over a decade ago as a result of several years of studies on the essence of strategic moves of enterprises. This is an interesting proposition for practitioners due to a wide ride range of instruments and a range of specific recommendations, which, since the proposition by M.E. Porter, has been the exception rather than the rule. In the study, there have been presented the basic assumptions of BOS, characterized its most important tools and described the principles of reconstruction of market boundaries allowing to begin the formulation of own Blue Ocean Strategy - the strategy that assumes creating new, competition-free market space allowing to concentrate on business development rather than competition.
