摘要
This paper is focused on creating a realistic model of water surface using height field technique based on fractal noise, which allows to create a realistic representation of water surface with little use of computing power. The paper also contains the description of water surface optics, ray tracing and the comparison of GPU- and CPU-based rendering of a scene created in Blender 2.8 based on the difference between the durations of the rendering, which is important in development of 3D and VR technologies, where efficiency of hardware components plays a key role. This research was carried out as a part of Computer Graphics course.
