摘要：
Aiming at discrete fuzzy demand, based on signed distance of LR-fuzzy number, this paper presents a definition of "discrete signed distance" which can be treated as a new method of defuzzification to discrete fuzzy number. This definition also describes its expression form. On the other hand, this paper proves the same effect between fuzzy expectation and this defuzzification. Furthermore, facing to newsboy problem with discrete fuzzy demand, this paper presents a model and embodies the solving steps, by using this defuzzification of discrete signed distance and fuzzy expectation. Analytical and numerical analysis show that this new definition of defuzzification is effective.
