COAL BLENDING FOR COKEMAKING WITH MODIFIED ANTHRACITE AND BITUMITE

摘要
Experimental investigation was carried out on the effect of non-coking coal (NCC) addition to the coke quality under the conditions of with and without the coal modifying additive (Patented product as ZBS(a)). It was found from 40kg test that adding NCC to coal blends damaged coke quality. However, adding appropriate amount of ZBS together with NCC could significantly improve the coke quality. The best result was achieved when 11 wt.% NCC (particle size less than 3 mm) and 0.10 wt.% ZBS added together to the coal blends, which caused coke properties such as the anti-broken strength of coke (M40) to increase by 12.54%, wear resistance strength (M10) to decrease by 7.53%, coke reactivity index (CRI) to reduce by 6.83% and strength after reaction (CSR) to increase by 11.95%. The quality of the coke obtained was very close to the production index of coking coal and the production requirements can be met.
