INJECTION OF LIQUID SULFUR DIOXIDE INTO A RESERVOIR SATURATED WITH METHANE AND ICE ACCOMPANIED BY HYDRATE FORMATION

摘要
The results of a theoretical study of the formation of sulfur dioxide gas hydrate during the injection of liquid sulfur dioxide into a reservoir saturated with ice and methane are presented. The dependences of the temperature of the boundary of the formation of sulfur dioxide gas hydrate on the permeability of the reservoir and its initial pressure are investigated. It was established that at high values of injection pressure and permeability of the reservoir, as well as low values of the initial pressure, the formation of sulfur dioxide gas hydrate will be accompanied by melting of ice.
