摘要
The aim of the present research is to investigate the costs of establishing and maintaining hybrid aspen plantations and to calculate the gains from them. The authors of the research calculated the costs of establishing, maintaining, and logging hybrid aspen plantations per 1 ha as well as the amount of thermal energy to be generated from 1 ha of hybrid aspen plantations. The authors calculated the value of wood for hybrid aspen stands of various ages by surveying the first hybrid aspen stands established in Latvia in Kalsnava parish.
