摘要：

Soil erosion is a combination of detachment and transport of soil by water or wind. Eroded soil is a major non-point source pollutant. It may carry soil adsorbed chemicals to surface waters degrading water quality. Meanwhile, erosion reduces productivity of agricultural land. During the last several decades, the significance of soil erosion has been widely recognized and soil erosion studies have flourished with monitoring and modeling of erosion processes. The work presented in this paper dealt with soil splash erosion. Splash erosion is caused by rainfall impact and is the initial phase of the erosion process. The splash erosion process determines, to a great extent, the amount of soil made available for transport by rainfall and overland flow, In this study, a detailed analysis of effects of soil properties on soil splash rate was conducted under simulated rainfall. Mathematical relationships of the soil splash rate as a function of soil properties and rainfall characteristics are presented in this paper.
