摘要
A compact wideband planar antenna for fifth generation (5G) applications is represented in this paper. The overall dimension of the presented antenna is 10 x 10 x 0.8 mm(3) and has a square radiating patch with an inverted F-shaped slot, a chicken neck slotted feed line and a slotted ground plane. By optimizing the size of the slots on the ground and the patch, the antenna is made to have a wide bandwidth of 13.9 GHz (27 - 40.9 GHz) which cover three different 56 bands (28 GHz, 37 GHz and 39 GHz) at reflection coefficient S-11 < -15dB. The presented antenna acquires the properties of having a smaller dimension, a simple design, a good directional radiation pattern and high gain which are required for making the antenna a potential candidate for 5G applications.
