In this work, cyclic voltammogram, AC impedance and potential step method have been used to study the electrochemical properties of Li/LixMn2O4 system using a powder microelectrode technique. The results show that the diffusion of lithium ions in LixMn2O4 particles is the rate-determining step. The diffusion coefficient of lithium ion and the exchange current density have been measured at different x values of LixMn2O4. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
