A MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIZING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC STAFF

The paper propose a software solution with the objective to improve the administrative work associated with the assignment of the academic staff on the corresponding positions in the university and also with the assignment of the subjects and activities associated to those employees. The research aims the change brought by this application in developing better profiles for teachers and their activities. The educational process supported by the software refers to a full course of study with an approved curriculum structure. The graphical user interface allows the access to change the information stored in the database, generating reports in several formats or generating statistical graphs. The framework offers a technological improvement of the administrative activities currently performed in Microsoft Excel. Future developments: teachers time tracking, standard reports with information related to each teacher.
