Regional Growth And Labour Market In Romania

The labour market in Romania has gone through major changes after 1990. The economic reforms adopted for the establishment of a market economy generated important structural changes in the field of occupation and unemployment. At regional level, these changes accentuated the economic and social disparities among regions, while the North-East region stands out from the other regions through a low level of development, but with a high ocuupation potential. In this paper, by means of the empirical study, we estimate the influence of the work factor on the output variation and we model from an econometric point of view the most significant factor on the labour market, namely the labour force participation rate.
