Scientific Dissemination and Institutionalization of Medicine: The Revista Arquivos de Saude Publica in Goias (1951- 1954)

This paper presents some research results, focused on the publication Arquivos de Saude Publica, from the Secretaria Estadual de Saude de Goias. The central problem is to understand how the scientific dissemination and the official medicine in Goias are articulated through the journal. In this sense, other points such as the identity of physicians, the medicalization of the behavior of the " sertanejo" and the exploration of the "cerrado" in the 20th century, are addressed as reverberations of health policies that appear in the texts of the journal Arquivos de Saude Publica.
