Academic Library E-Service User Motivation: A Korean Case Study

摘要
The principal objective of this study is to provide a preliminary theoretical foundation of academic library e-service user motivation. To achieve this purpose, this study attempts to develop and test an academic library e-service user motivation model based on Vroom's expectancy theory and an e-service-related literature review. The study employed a survey method. The collected data was analyzed via correlation and multiple regression method. The findings are that academic library e-service users' motivational process is influenced by the following five factors: 1) Users' past experience with the library e-services; 2) E-service quality; 3) Accomplishment/Performance of the e-service by user; 4) Outcomes; and 5) User satisfaction with the e-service.
