摘要
The Russian-Japanese War of 1904-1905 became one of the themes for Soviet fiction. At least six major works were devoted to individual episodes of the campaign. The article explores a range of issues related to the motivations of writers who prompted them to turn to the theme of the Russo-Japanese War, the influence of power and ideology on the literary process, and the readers' responses to artistic texts.
