摘要
This paper is dedicated to Orthodox Christianity seen as a part of the European community and European identity in historiosophy of Karol Wojtyla, later known as Pope John Paul II. Under his historiosophical reflection, the whole Orthodox world belongs to Europe. Byzantine tradition and its mutations, e.g. Slavic one, is a constitutive element of Europeanness. Europe - in historiosophy of Wojtyla - means both of its parts, i.e. legacy of the Latin West and Byzantine East creating inseparable symbiosis.
