In 2019, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, delivered a discourse at the United Nations General Assembly where he mentioned the Kashmir conflict. He called for the parts involved (India and Pakistan) to address the issue through dialogue. In this discourse, an example of contentious politics, Erdogan, thus, included a new region in his foreign policy's repertoire. The object of this study is to find how this discourse affected the behavior of these countries and their reactions to it through their discourses. Critical analysis discourse will be the tool to analyze the interactions between the leaders of Turkey, India and Pakistan at the UNGA, and the interactions in Twitter of the ministers of Foreign Affairs. The period of this episode spans the year before and after the revocation of Kashmir's autonomous status in August 2019.
