摘要
Similar to many managerial activities, Strategic information Systems Planning (SISP) renders benefits which may not be easily quantified. Nonetheless, an increasingly important agenda among practitioners and researchers is the development of definable metrics and empirical models that capture aspects of planning success and its contribution to the welfare of the enterprise. This study utilizes the empirical framework of second order factor analysis to model latent dimensions of planning success and their combined contribution to organizational effectiveness. The results suggest that first-order planning success dimensions of alignment, analysis, cooperation, and improvement in capabilities are coaligned by a second-order construct of planning system success and that this factor structure is directly associated with SISP contribution to organizational effectiveness.
