Application of ontology in integration of C4ISR/SIM systems

摘要
To reach further interoperability of C41SR/SIM system under SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) at semantic level, we proposed application of ontology in integration system at data layer and service layer. To test our proposal, a prototype of problem solving environment (which includes C4ISR components) of military simulation was realized. in which we practiced describing ontology model (C21EDM) of C41SR/SIM in OWL file with some alteration to form processable domain ontology for our system and ontological service description was generated half-automatically according to OWL-S from WSDL with the support of domain ontology. Described military simulation problem based on domain ontology can thus be solved by searching and invoking appropriate services realized by C41SR or simulation community to form problem solving procedure. It has testified that application of ontology at data and service layers enabled automatic "meaningful" integration of C41SR/SIM system components (realized in services) according to user's requirements.
