Phase diagram for a frustrated disordered Blume-Emery-Griffiths model

The critical behavior of the three-dimensional Blume-Emery-Griffiths model with weak quenched disorder is studied using standard and histogram Monte Carlo calculations. It was argued in previous studies that, with the introduction of bond randomness, first-order behavior cedes to some degree to second-order behavior for d less than or equal to 2. We show, in d=3 spatial dimensions, first-order phase transitions that have taken place in the investigated model disappear only at a finite amount of randomness.
